| After their marriage they lived at a farm south of Wamego for several months, then at Wamego where Glen worked in the flour mill. They then moved to a farm north-west of Wamego until 1941. At that time they moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma for a year where Glen did carpentry work. Then in 1942 they moved to Wellsville, KS. Glen was then employed at Sunflower Ordinance Plant and then the Olathe Naval Base. He did carpentry work until his retirement and as a hobby after that. |

| Lived as a child in the house her Grandparents built when they came to Kansas from Illinois. She started to school at District 54 and later when her parents moved to a farm at Paxico she went to school at District 66. After school she spent two years at the Evangelical School then worked as a housekeeper. She did laundry and ironing for 30 years and picked 100 quarts of walnuts a years. She used the money she made for gifts for her grandchildren and as gifts to her church. She loved to garden and had two vegetable gardens in addition to several award winning flower beds. |
